It’s open enrollment period, a time during which you have the opportunity to make changes in your insurance coverage or choose to enroll in certain benefits.
Be sure to choose Grove for all your dental needs! Grove accepts all traditional insurance plans and participates in some PPO type plans. We also offer many financial arrangements to make dentistry more affordable for you and your family.
Insurance participation varies by Grove office and by doctor, so call the office that is most convenient for you and speak to our Insurance Department. They will be happy to answer all your questions. Also, be sure to ask about out-of-network benefits. Many of our patients who use out-of-network benefits for services received at Grove are pleasantly surprised at the level of coverage available.
As we near the end of 2011, remember to take advantage of any remaining dental benefits. Every year you receive a maximum dollar amount from your dental insurance company. If you don’t use the full amount by the end of the year, any unused dollars will be lost forever.

Yearly Maximum
Your yearly maximum is the greatest amount of money that your dental insurance company will pay for your dental work within one full year. If you have unused benefits, these will not roll over into the next year. -
Premiums
Every month you’re paying a premium in order to have dental insurance, so make sure you are taking advantage of the benefits you’re entitled to. Use your insurance for regular cleanings and checkups to keep your teeth and gums healthy. -

With summer vacation in full swing, it's not too soon to begin thinking about your child's back-to-school appointments, and that means scheduling those physical and dental exams before the actual start of the school year. The state of Illinois now requires that all students in kindergarten, 2nd, and 6th grade have a dental exam completed by a licensed dentist.
Tooth decay is one of the most common chronic illnesses among children, and poor oral health has been related to decreased school performance. In fact, according to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, an estimated 51 million school hours per year are lost because of dental-related illness.

At Grove Dental, we have five experienced pediatric dental specialists on staff- Drs. Mina Chung, Bob Stone, Nicholas Woodward, Mark Cabana and Diana Lee- dedicated exclusively to treating kids.
