Dr. Mina Chung, Grove Dental’s very own Pediatric Dentist at Bolingbrook and Lombard, is a member artist of the Mook Mee (literal translation: “beauty of black ink”) Korean Artist Association of Illinois. While Dr. Chung’s true passion is working with children to promote good dental health, she also shares a deep love for art and will be presenting an exhibition in the Joutras Gallery at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois.

The exhibition features 60 original paintings by members of the Mook Mee Artist Association of Illinois and the Simhyang Artist Association from Dae Jeon, South Korea.  Paintings by member artists will be displayed which are created in the traditional Korean style with brushes and inks made from plants, stone powder and soil. 

The exhibition is in honor of the Mook Mee Artist Association's 30th anniversary, and will run from February 19 through April 3, 2011. On March 20, a lecture will be presented on the history of Korean brush painting in the Alsdorf Auditorium at 3:30 PM. To learn more, visit http://www.chicagobotanic.org/.
